Mental illness awareness week is on – दिल की कलम से

✨ Breaking the Stigma – another stage, another opportunity Spreading Awareness, Inspiring Change! ✨
As part of Mental Illness Awareness Week, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Indira University, where our Samyak family members once again proved that talent, confidence, and the spirit of recovery know no boundaries! ❤️
Our team presented two powerful performances — a thought-provoking play on Schizophrenia and Samyak Mental Health Care’s special Mental Health Awareness Fashion Show, showcasing different psychiatric disorders. And once again, our stars rocked the stage with their outstanding performances! 👏🌟

But for me, the day was special for another reason as well. I had the privilege of addressing the psychology students of Indira University and sharing my knowledge and experience in psychiatry. I believe that psychology students are often among the first professionals to encounter individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Whether it is Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, or Substance Addiction, understanding these conditions, recognizing the signs, responding with empathy, and guiding individuals towards appropriate professional help can make a meaningful difference.
My message to the students was close to my heart: Take care of your own mental health, stay away from addictive substances, and maintain a healthy relationship with technology and the internet. Because when you prioritize your own well-being, you are better equipped to support the mental well-being of others. You are the future mental health professionals who can help shape a healthier and more compassionate society! 💚
This year’s message of Mental Illness Awareness Week — “Break the Stigma, Open Up, Talk About Yourself” — reminds us that mental illness should never be a reason for shame or discrimination. We need to replace judgment with understanding, silence with conversation, and stigma with acceptance.
At Samyak Mental Health Care, we believe that awareness is not merely about talking about mental illness. It is about creating opportunities for our family members to express themselves, showcase their abilities, regain confidence, and feel included in society.
And that is exactly what our Samyak family members demonstrated on stage! ❤️
A heartfelt thank you to Indira University for welcoming us and giving us this wonderful platform to spread awareness and educate the next generation of mental health professionals.
Together, let us continue to break barriers, challenge stigma, and make mental health a priority.
Mental illness is not a weakness. Seeking help is not a shame. Recovery is possible, and every individual deserves dignity, understanding, and hope. ❤️
